Health is the general body wellness. It is the state whereby ones body is functioning at its optimal state. This means that the body is well both mentally and physically. It is the physical, mental and so spiritual capability to make healthy choices for ourselves . when we are living healthy we are able to do many things and we are happy in general. This paper will outline tips to living healthy.
Food constitute a major part of our health. We are told that the number one medicine is the food we eat. There is need to prepare food that is healthy for us to live healthy lives. Healthy food basically is food that has important nutrients that our bodies need to survive. The food must be balance in that it contains carbohydrates,proteins , healthy fats and vitamins. Carbohydrates should be the non processed ones as well as proteins should be the good protein. Cooked food rarely have all the nutrients that we require therefore we can supplement by taking dietary supplements. This includes healthy minerals, vitamins, protein shakes etc.
To stay healthy we should exercise. The body must be engaged in exercise to ensure that the cells remain healthy. We can talk long walks or even enroll in a gym to do workouts. Doing cardio workouts is good for the heart as well as loosing weight. Weight lifting is good for muscle building. We can also stay fit by jogging. Working out in general will ensure that we maintain a healthy weight which is necessary when we are trying to stay healthy.
Since our body is mostly made of water we should ensure we drink a lot of it to stay healthy. It is recommended that we take 8 glasses of water per day. Water helps us detox especially when we urinate and sweat. Water helps our digestive system and prevents constipation. Fresh juices, green tea are some of the fluids that we can take on top of drink water.
Ensure you maintain a healthy mental well being. We can do this by avoiding stress in our life. Stress is a very unhealthy emotional disease that is caused by overthinking in many cases about problems. Stress stabilizes your emotions and feelings and it is not good for your general well being. If not treated stress can lead to depression. Depression is a mental disease that can be fatal if not treated.
Our bodies need to have healthy weight. So as to maintain good health one must have healthy weight. This is usually checked through the BMI that should be on normal levels depending on the persons weight,height and age. Excess weight leads to diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart problems.
